No Matter Who Wins…

the Election

I Voted.

I voted.  It doesn’t really matter who I voted for, we’re all in this together.

We live in America, and we have to live with the results of our votes.  However…no matter who wins, we all have a choice to make.

That choice is to keep on keeping on!  We have to get up and go on with life tomorrow, whoever wins.  We’ve gotten so distracted and caught up with our concern over who will become the next president that it’s possible we’ve forgotten that we’re the ones who make the difference in our own circle of influence.

Whoever takes the White House tonight, there will be a lot of unhappy people in America tomorrow.  Lots of people whose hopes and dreams have been crushed and broken.  So be kind to each other.  Be understanding.  And most important, don’t stop being you and making a difference right where you are!

If you are disappointed about the outcome of the election, channel your energy into making a positive change in your own sphere of influence!  If you are excited about the outcome of the election, then use that excitement to do something great!

Be the Positive Change You Want

Yes, the person who sits in the Oval Office does affect and influence our lives.  No, the person who sits in the Oval Office does not rule our lives.  We do still live in America and we still have the freedom to be who we want to be.  It’s all right to say what we think and to challenge the status quo.

We don’t have to believe a certain way.  Nor do we have to speak a certain way.  Instead, we get to vote for whoever we want to, and we get to live with the results of millions of other voters’ opinions.  It’s how America works, and it is a good thing.

So as we sit here tonight, waiting anxiously for the last few states to finish counting their votes, let us remember that being positive is so much better than being negative.  However unhappy you are (or happy you are), please stop and think about how your words and attitude will affect those around you.

It’s not good for us to whine and complain.  Let’s be grateful, no matter what happens, that we still have the opportunity to have a voice and a vote.
