What is a Beautiful Relationship?
Our lives are made up of relationships. Google defines “relationship” as the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected. Whether we like it or not, we are connected to people. And, well, people are human, which sometimes makes relationships difficult.
A beautiful relationship is one that looks beyond difficulties, hard circumstances, and old hurts. A beautiful relationship chooses grace when it would be easier to be harsh. It will choose to look past flaws to encourage success. Beautiful relationships are worth taking time for. The beautiful relationships in your life are more than worth sacrificing some things for!
Relationships are supposed to be beautiful things. Friends are meant to lift us and encourage us to be better versions of ourselves. A family is meant to love us, protect us, and encourage us.
Are Beautiful Relationships Really Possible?
There are hundreds of different types of relationships in our lives. Here on Reflecting Beautiful, we will take some time to regularly look at the beautiful relationships in our lives. We will explore the many different types of relationships that connect us. We will look at each of the key relationships in our lives is and discover how to make them beautiful.
I want every relationship to be beautiful. Of course, I understand that they can be messy. They can be painful. We humans are talented at hurting one another. But I can’t want to settle for less than what could be. What if your friendships could be deeper and more intentional? What if your family could be stronger and more supportive? What if your marriage could be filled with joy and purpose every day?
Here on the blog, I’ll be taking the time to share with you all how these things can be a reality in your life. It’s not easy, though. Having beautiful relationships is a challenge! It requires daily effort and sacrifice but believe me, it’s worth it!
Together, we’ll explore the framework of each type of relationship. We will look at friendships, family members, spiritual mentoring, and of course romance and marriage. I will share the story of how I committed to only ever date one man in my life, and how that commitment became reality. Five years into my beautiful marriage, I don’t have any regrets!
My Invitation to You
Let’s spend some time together. Pretend with me that we’re sitting across from each other at the cozy corner table in that cute little coffee shop downtown. Order your favorite drink (mine will be a salted caramel latte!), and let me tell you my story. Let me encourage you, and take some time to tell me your story too!
I am looking forward to getting to know you and building a beautiful relationship with you!
